Thread coloration
Bii Dauu is working on and encouraging the revival of the traditional use of natural organic dyes to color their wool thread. The dying process is done in an area specially created with alternative technology such as: solar panels to heat water, an ecological oven designed to save wood, a water recycling system, and special natural organic fiber receptacles for the washing, dying and rinsing of thread.
Plants, insects and minerals are all used to obtain the best variety of colors possible.
